Helsinki, Finland:
Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland and the youngest prime minister in the world has expressed a desire for her country to join NATO. In a press conference earlier today Marin stated she, “…have to run it by my mom.”
Marin said, “I think my mom will be okay with it. She let me do a sleep-over at Tasha’s house last weekend even though she knew Tasha’s parents were away. There was a small issue in that Tasha had told her parents she was staying at my house. Her parents were okay with it because they knew my mom would be home. So we had a small party at Tasha’s house but I didn’t know she had told her parents she was going to be at my house and it’s just not fair that I got grounded. But when I explained to my mom it was Tasha’s fault and not mine, my mom lifted my grounding. Which was very good for the country since I am the Prime Minister.”
Marin continued with her statement, “The NATO thing sounds pretty cool. It’s trending on TikTok and I think I’d get to travel to America if we join. Well, OK, I’m going to sauna now. C’mon, join me. It is the Finnish way!”
To ensure continuity of a developing story this Leuterers reporter did in fact join PM Marin in a customary Finnish sauna event. Unfortunately the 127 other male reporters in attendance joined as well.
