Earlier today President-Elect Joe Biden said in a press conference, “It is past time for the nation to come together and accept as one the outcome of the election. We have to speak and listen to each other with respect and I’ll take the first step. So I say to you, Mr. outgoing election losing President Trump. Sir, I put forth that you didn’t lose the election. You came in second. I say this with my sincerest condolences. Coming in second isn’t a bad thing. Yes, some may continue to say you lost and some may even continue to say you are a loser. But I won’t do that, I won’t say that. Yes, you did lose and yes, you are a loser and a loser in all caps.” ( Biden’s statement was interrupted by his laughter followed by wiping tears from his eyes ) Biden continued, “But enough of that, hey man, from here on out I will refer to your devastating, punishing, and ego-deflating loss as simply that of a guy taking second place.”
