After a dismal 0-7 start the Jets ownership, players, and fans have decided to fold the team. The team released the following statement this afternoon “We suck, big time. We’ve had limited success in the fifty years which followed our miracle upset victory over the Colts in Super Bowl III. Broadway Joe is doing Medicare supplement ads. We’re doing the right thing here. Maybe the Seattle Mariners (baseball) and the Denver Nuggets (basketball) should consider doing the same. We just can’t subject our fans or the decent people of the Tri-State Area to anymore football by the Jets. We couldn’t even beat the Dolphins. Thanks for the memories”.
Jets players and coaches will be eligible for unemployment benefits. They’re crossing their fingers hoping for a new stimulus bill as they would qualify for the six hundred dollar a week bonus.
